Friends
of the Country Parks
The Friends of the Country Parks (FoCP)
is a non-profit making organization. It was established in
1992 by current and ex- members of the Country Parks Committee,
and other enthusiasts. Administrative expenses of FoCP are
entirely absorbed by members themselves, and income is used
entirely in promotional activities of the Country Parks. The
objectives of FoCP are to promote the development of Country
Parks and encourage the general public to make wise use of
our natural countryside resources. FoCP is a vital non-government
partner of our Country Parks activities. In 1995, FoCP sponsored
over 10 millions for the development of the Wilson Trail.
In 2000, FoCP helped a number of corporations to establish
their ¡§Corporate Forests¡¨ in the Country Parks.
In recent years, FoCP has produced a series of the ¡§Eyes
on Nature¡¨ publications, which have been well received
by the general public. From 2003 to 2005, sponsors from FoCP
in various Country Parks activities reached over a million.
Sponsored items included hiking activities, publications,
website designs, etc
